(vii), 120pp. Numerous coloured and monochrome illustrations (designs/motifs) on 24 plates, many monochrome illustrations in text, monochrome decorative head-and-tail pieces, pp. of publ. recommended literature at very end. INSCRIBED COPY by author to his niece, dated september 1920, signed Oom Ben, at top-margin of ti.-p. Dutch language curriculum by a dutch author and illustrtor, in which is illustrated and explained how to draw in the dutch art-style called De Stijl (The Style) also known as neoplasticism, this design movement was founded in The Netherlands in 1917 by Theo van Doesburg with as principal [dutch] painters, graphic artists and draughtsmen as Piet Mondrian, Piet Zwart, Gerrit Rietveld, Bart van der Leck, P.J. Oud. Very good copy. A rarity. (a little bit dog-eared, some small spots to lower outer cover, spine-ends with some minimal wear due to shelving).
