Hftitle (verso with printer's imprint). all edges gilt. 433pp. Printed dedication and argument (versos blank) on 2 unnumbered lvs. A great speciment of nineteenth century scottish literature. In a nicely designed private binding, well preserved. (pritave dedication by previous owner to a friend in ms. in old ink at upper right corner of hftitle, some occasional foxing of f.e.p.'s and margins).
