With portrait of Weston by J.Cole after J.Dowling, 3 plates & 4 engraved title-pages. Full calf, triple filets, red morocco title-piece. (small worming in first 2 blanks, hinge repaired, slightly bumped, small spot on edge; good copy) James Weston (1688-1751) was a London teacher and practitioner of stenography. He published four books, here together in one volume, presenting his own geometrical system of short-hand. First edition.
