Printed exclusively for the members of the "Biblio-Aphrodiphile Société". Revised and edited by Jules Choux. Engraved frontispiece by Chauvet after F. Rops. With 4 introductions, o.a. to the first edition of 1864 that was suppressed and to the " Glossaire érotique" by Louis de Landers (= August Scheler). From 1861 Alfred Delvau [1825-1867], a French journalist, wrote several works on Parisian life. Upper part French title cut away and neatly restored (containing signature former owner?).
