Minutely detailed scientific research into the liquidation of the civilian internment camps in Batavia in two parts, with as special case Tjideng camp. Part I focused on Batavia to indicate which events, until mid-April 1946, influenced the delayed liquidation. (cf. summary to part I). This report also describes the actions of the 'Pemuda', indonesian revolutionary groups of youngsters, during the first months after the surrender of Japan and the arrival of British troops. The case of Tjideng camp, part II, is thoroughly analyzed and described, incl. the funcition as a trasition-camp. A very good copy of an important historical study.
