A 100-day tour of the dutch A.B.C.-Cabaret, under management of Corry Kan-Vonk and Wim Kan through pre-war colonial Indonesia started 3 December 1939. Due to the outbreak of the Pacific war it took 2279 days to get home. Corry Vonk stayed on Java in a Japanese camp Tjimahi, whilst her husband Wim Kan was transported to the Burma Railroad. The sketch-map, drawn in secrecy by Wim Kan depicts. a part of Burma/Thailand with locations of Camp Ratpol, cam 108, the Therr Pagodas Pass, etc., incl. concise legenda. Pp. 261-272, marked Niet Openen, Niet Lezen (Do not open, neither read), being some letters by Wim Kan to his wife after his liberation and stay at Bangkok. Good copy in a later cloth binding with a label on spine.
